Our Nursery

It’s my new favorite room in our house. We spend alot of time in there.  Especially me & Annie.  It took four months to put it all together.  It was Ezra’s room before it became Annie’s nursery.  Back in November we moved him to a new room, Logan & I gave the room a fresh coat of paint, and then it sat empty for a month or so.  It takes me a lonnnnnng time to make decorating decisions.  🙂  In January we had the floors refinished and then I really started putting the room together.  The crib was given to us from my cousin Ann. The turquiose cabinet was a score I got in Canton last year. (The top part, now royal blue, is in my living room.) The rocking chair was a gift (to me on Mother’s Day when I was pregnant with Ezra) from my mother-in-law. I purchased the changing table at Walmart.  The rug was from Zoe & Jack on Camp Bowie.  The hoops on the wall were inspired by a picture I saw on Pinterest.  I got the fabrics for those at The Cabbage Rose on Vickory.  A, N, N, E letters from Anthropology.  Be Filled With Joy picture is a Katie Daisy print from The Wheatfield on Etsy.  I had it matted and framed at Michaels.  The LOVE print was a free download from Persnickity Prints.   The frame on that one was from my picture wall project.  I painted it red.  I covered the lampshades myself.  The litte vintage goose toy belonged my grandmother Mimo.  I remember playing with it when I was little. Wish I knew it’s history.  (Do any of my sisters know???)  All the wire baskets were found on another Canton trip.  The white curtains are from Pottery Barn.  The red bucket of books is an old toolkit I found at the Montgomery Street Antique mall.  All of the books are ones we have read with Ezra.  My mom made the vintage quilt (seen on the crib) for my sister sometime in 1969/1970.  And all the blankets & quilts in the basket have been given to us by sweet family and friends.  But of course my favorite part of the nursery is this sweet pea…

MB - So precious...you did a great job with the nursery! And I just absolutely adore Annie in these pics...she already looks like she's filling out some....cannot wait to get to know her personality more! ~mbMay 3, 2012 - 10:06 pm

Jenny - It is just perfect. I enjoy reading the history behind every object. Annie is adorable in the bubble outfit. Red is definitely her color. My favorite photo is the one on the right. :) MomMay 6, 2012 - 12:11 am
