Leap of Faith

Here goes….

I’ve been working since I was 16.  For twenty years now I’ve always had a job.   The last twelve have been in education.   Five years in the classroom and seven years in the library.  I enjoy it.  I take pride in it.  It’s part of who I am.  The last six years I’ve been at a school that I adore.  My Elder family.  There are so many kind friends and colleagues that I’ve had the pleasure of seeing and working with each and every day.  If you know me you know that I brag on my school all the time.  It’s a wonderful place to work.  I love it.  I really have it good.  So this was a tough one.  On the other side of this though there’s the girl who is in love with her family.  Four and half years ago I had a sweet little baby boy and left him at three months old to go back to work.  That first year back was hard.  I was very, very sad.  Lots of things were missed during those days that I wish I would have been a part of.  I always said if I had another I would do it.  And here we are.  Things are a little different this time around and we can make it happen.   So I’m going to go for it.  Take that leap of faith.  Say goodbye to my sweet Elder family and say hello to this new baby girl.  Enjoy her every.single.day.  Soak it all in.  Focus on family.  100%.  I am grateful to be able to make this choice.  Here goes.

Donna Frazier - I'm sad that you're leaving, but I get it. You have done amazing things with our library, and we will definitely miss your smiling face. Thanks for always going above and beyond and for just being someone I'd call a friend. I wish you all the best as you get the opportunity to give your all to your family. What a blessing you'll be!February 14, 2012 - 11:18 pm

I cannot imagine our library w/o you...such beautiful changes you have made. Always smiling...always Nell...always taking care of us!!! But how incredibly blessed for you to be able to be the full time Mom you have dreamed of! Happy Valentine's day my dear friend and co-worker!February 15, 2012 - 12:28 am
