I want to ride my bicycle

I’ve been on a history kick lately. Been treasure hunting. And I’ve found some good ones. These (and many more) had me smiling this week. Don’t you love a bicycle? I do! The left pic below is my great-uncle Arthur. My grandmother Irmgard’s brother and the youngest of ten Koerber children in Hoisington, Kansas. He’s ten years old in this picture around 1932. Gosh I wish I could have met my grandmother’s brothers & sisters! The picture on the right is my dad, Tommy, and his older brother Christopher. My dad was two years old and Uncle Christopher was six. The year was 1947 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Aren’t they precious? If you zoom in close you can see them holding Coca-Cola bottles. I have fond memories of taking trips to visit my grandparents as a child and one of the first things we did every time was race to their downstairs refrigerator and get an ice cold bottle of Coke. 1 Arthur, Tommy, ChristopherCan you tell who that blondie is on the Schwinn below? September 1978 at our house on Clover Hill Road in Mansfield. I was two and my mom was 34. I had never seen these two pictures before I found them in an album at my dad’s house earlier this week. Treasures! Might just be my favorite ever of me and my mom. Love, love, love.2 1978 twoMe and my Annie girl (14 months old), June 2013, right after we all got new bikes…3 wphotoAnd my two loves on their new bikes that Santa brought this year for Christmas.
